I think it's all over bar waiting for DNS to expire, but so far nothing's broken with other folks pinging it, only my home network. I took down an ancient, neglected WordPress site and threw up a fediverse server.
At this stage this is still a private instance. The software I'm using - gotosocial - claims to still be in Alpha and not reliable, and if I lose everything I say that's probably no huge loss, but I don't want to risk losing other people's stuff.
